Meet Dr. Daniel M. Sweeney
Education: State University of New York at Buffalo- BA Biology, State University of New York at Buffalo, School of Dental Medicine- DDS degree
Post Graduate Training: Erie County Medical Center, Buffalo, New York- General Practice Residency, Misch International Implant Implant Institute- Implant Prosthetics training
Dr. Sweeney grew up in Olean, New York and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from the State University of New York at Buffalo. He graduated from Dental School at the University of Buffalo, School of Medicine and Dentistry in 1986, before entering a General Practice Dental Residency at the Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo. Upon completion of Residency, Dr. Sweeney began a position providing dental care for the families of the Seneca Nation of Indians on the Cattaraugus Indian reservation in Western, New York. In 1988, Rochester’s St. Mary’s Hospital then offered Dr. Sweeney a position practicing hospital based dentistry in their Oral Health Center. In 1989, Dr. Sweeney began private practice full time at our office located in Irondequoit, New York.
Dr. Sweeney’s education continues and he enjoys learning about the latest techniques and equipment by attending continuing education courses in a variety of subjects yearly. He currently lives in Penfield with his wife Karen and their three children. He enjoys being active in golf, skiing, biking and traveling with his family.

Our dental hygienists, assistants and administrative staff are very experienced and well trained. They will explain your treatment options in detail, as well as what you may expect before, during and after treatment. Our entire dental team is also trained continually in infection control and privacy standards & regulations.
